How we did it

An extremely interesting building with its layout and construction where we delivered our first use of a brand new curtain wall product from Senior Architectural Systems – SMR800.

This was also the first time we had manufactured and installed a concealed vent and it wasn’t short of it’s challenges as the glass had to be bonded at a specialist factory off site. The design enabled the appearance to simulate the look of fixed panes where the openers were located.

The project was also specified with a substantial quantity of electric automated opening windows which were fitted with rain sensors. All wireways had to be concealed within the windows and curtain walling, which enabled the finished project to look visually neat and tidy. The vast number of faceted frames in the build created an extremely bespoke build.

The Result

A very striking and ergonomically different school building.
